teru teru

For Sight+Sound 2025, Hanako Hoshimi-Caines and Hanako Brierley draw on experimental artistic traditions and childhood cultural artefacts, such as Japanese lore teru teru bōzu (shine shine bald), talisman-like dolls said to bring sun-to create a rhythmical and choreographic score entwined with the uncanny promise, nostalgia and therapeutic opportunities for the future.
